Days and times to be confirmed Due to the number of assessments you will be required to attend this course fully, usually on a Friday from 9:30 -2:30. It is not advised that you complete this course if you cannot commit to full attendance.

Entry requirements

Learners must hold either a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym/Exercise to Music or Aqua)

Or one of the following
• A reps accredited level 2 with all disciplines of fitness.
• Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training
• Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork
• Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Yoga

he diploma in Exercise referral has a range of assessments over the 6 units that include:

1. 2 Multiple choice exams.
2. A Case Study
3. Assignments
4. Work book questions.
5. A range of practical observations.
6. Evaluations.

Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for the Management of Lower Back Pain (QCF)

Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise and Nutritional Interventions for Obesity and Diabetes (QCF)


If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Advanced Learner Loan: If you are aged 19-23 and this is not your first full Level 3 qualification or you are aged 24 or over on the start date of the course, you will have to pay fees. However, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. You can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to fund all or part of the fee. Sports students will learn theoretical based study in the classroom, whilst taking part in a range of sport and fitness activities. Taught by specialist tutors and coaches, many of which are ex professionals in their field, you'll benefit from fantastic facilities including an AstroTurf pitch, a strength and conditioning suite and a physiology lab.
