Engineering & Welding success stories
I loved every minute of my time at the College, and everyone was so supportive and encouraging. I want other young people to feel that too and to know that there’ll always be people who will believe in you and give you a chance, you just need to be willing to take a chance too.
The College is well-organised and the courses have developed my skills for employment. I have learnt a lot on this course and I am putting the valuable skills I have learnt from my qualification into my role at work every day.
Our lecturers were fantastic. They had a lot of industry experience, so they helped us to understand the big issues in the sector and learn how to tackle the kinds of problems an engineer would face in the world of work.
The skills I have learned at College have definitely given me a good foundation to build on when I take my next step as an apprentice. I have gained lots of experience in the workshop, giving me an insight into the machinery and tools I will be working with.
Welding is so interesting and Middlesbrough College is a fantastic place to study this. The facilities are amazing and are just as you would find them in industry.
