It’s never too late to start a new career!
Our retrain courses are specially designed to assist you in gaining the essential skills and experiences to successfully progress in a new career.
Whether you are looking to change careers, update your current skills or returning to work, our range of retrain opportunities are a great way to ensure your skills are relevant and up-to-date in preparation for seeking employment in your subject of choice.
We provide retrain courses in Hair and Beauty, Catering, Construction, Motor Vehicle and Welding.
Retrain courses are typically 1 year courses with a combination of classroom and practical learning, enrolling in September alongside our full-time cohort. You will study weekly, over 2 or 3 days within Middlesbrough College and will achieve a qualification to either enter the world of work or progress onto the next course level.
Learners must have achieved four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, including maths and English language (unless otherwise stated) and may be required to complete an initial assessment. Retrain courses can be studied for free for eligible learners or with financial support; eligibility and course fees will be discussed during the application process.
