Learning Resources Centre
Our library provides students access to high-quality facilities to develop their overall learning experience.
We provide our students with access to high-quality facilities to ensure their overall learning experience at Middlesbrough College runs as smooth as possible.
Set over two floors, our main building’s Learning Resources Centre has books, journals, study spaces and computers. It is staffed with a team of qualified and experienced people, who are on hand to help you.
The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) provides a safe and welcoming environment for students to study. All the main services are on Floor 1. Our entire book stock is on this floor, and is split between 2 main areas for fiction and non-fiction. There are also specialist collections for Local History, ESOL and Careers. We have a small number of computers for students without laptops, with space for individual and group study. We offer laptop and mobile phone charging cabinets.
Floor 2 is used as an exam suite and for individual silent study. This floor will sometimes be closed due to the number of exams in the area.
We have printers and enquiry points, and provide electronic resources and support through our SharePoint page. The College’s Multi Faith Room is housed in the LRC, as well as the STEAM Lab.
