The creative industry forms a huge part of our culture from theatre and musicals to opera and ballet. There are lots of different opportunities for creative and talented individuals in this diverse and exciting industry!
Our performing arts course allows you to specialise in one of three areas (acting, dance and musical theatre) and you will get the opportunity to build skills in your chosen area and put them into practice in our Christmas pantomime and end of year musical.
You’ll rehearse in our large dance and drama studios and perform in our professional theatre, developing the confidence to succeed in the industry.
Or, if you aspire to work backstage in a theatre or support performance events, then a career in stage management and operations could be for you. You will also get the opportunity to manage our professional 156 seat theatre with automated lighting and full sound system.

Performance and production arts students have the opportunity to partake in 11 live productions per academic year ranging from Christmas pantomimes to traditional musical theatre
You’ll have access to our range of large dance and drama studios, fully equipped recording studios and practice rooms
Course tutors boast industry experience meaning students will learn from the best! We also have industry partnerships with showbiz professionals! Our students enjoy regular workshops with professionals in industry.
Previous students have progressed to drama schools and University to study a range of degrees including Acting, Musical Theatre, Music Performance, Events Management, Stage Management and Sound and Lighting Design
Many of our former students have become professional performers and choreographers, as well going one step further opening up their own dancing and production companies
