The public sector is a huge employer with opportunities to explore services such as the police, fire, ambulance, civil service and armed forces. Your course will be split into three key areas of study and includes outdoor adventurous activities, classroom based units and sports and fitness. For this reason, you will have theoretical based study in the classroom, whilst taking part in external residential trips and joining in with sport and fitness activities.

Overseas trips are organised for final year students, and have included destinations such as Poland, Berlin and Cyprus

Not only did our teachers serve as officers themselves, they arranged visits and workshops with the police, army and fire services at the College.
The course has 100% played a part in helping me achieve my dreams, I was able to use my theory knowledge during my application process for the police.
I had the opportunity to become Lord Lieutenant through the Cadets. I’m so proud of this achievement and thankful to my tutors who gave me the confidence to go for this opportunity.
We get the opportunity to take part in a lot of outdoor activities such as Rock Climbing and Canoeing which is fun! I love that we are not 100% based in a classroom and that we have that chance to get out and do something practical.
