MC Digital facilities

Our state of the art digital expansion has put young people across the region at the forefront of the new industrial revolution! Students will learn in our brand new multi-million pound Digital Centre. The centre is home to industry leading programming suites, cyber labs, video editing suites, a games design suite, a full TV and film studio, raspberry Pi’s, 3D printer, VR headsets, 360 cameras, motion capture suits, projection mapping, and live streaming tricaster.

MC Digital courses

We provide a range of courses for students who aspire to a rewarding career in the digital industries; such as our courses in Application and Web Development, Networking and System Support, Computer Science, NextGen: Skills Academy Games, Animation and Visual Effects, Games Development, Film and television production and Journalism.

We also offer the NextGen: Skills Academy course. Middlesbrough College are the 8th college in the country to be acknowledged! NextGen brings industry and educators together to develop the next generation of digital talents in games, animation and visual effects, and is a specialist course designed by the industry, for the industry.

Preparing students for industry and University

Having developed an excellent working relationship with local digital industries we ensure we are continually updating our practices and facilities so that we can help model digital employees for the future. MC Digital are proud to offer cutting edge T Level qualifications that will allow students to build the future that they want. Students spend 80% of their time in the classroom and 20% of their time in the workplace, putting the skills they are learning into action.  

MC Digital students have progressed to careers in the digital sector with many progressing to sought-after apprenticeships with local employers. Previous students have also started their own web development businesses or progressed directly into employment in the sector.

Every year MC Digital students also progress onto a range of prestigious Universities including Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds and Hull.

With over 7,000 jobs available across Teesside and the Tees Valley, the region has become a hotbed for digital innovation.

The future of society is digital and IT is now seen by organisations as a core element of business with the average salary of an experienced computing related job being £52,000. There are a wide range of roles available across the digital industry and our students have progressed into roles such as Application Development, Web Development, Cyber Security, Data Analysis and Database Design.
