Waterside Brasserie and training kitchens

The catering and hospitality sector is a diverse, exciting industry that trains our students to progress into employment on cruise ships, bars, restaurants or hotels.

Whilst studying at Middlesbrough College, our students have the opportunity to work in our award winning The Waterside Brassiere restaurant, and train in our range of fully equipped industry standard training kitchens and demonstration theatres. The Waterside Brasserie is a real working restaurant and students will have the opportunity to cook and serve food to real paying customers, giving you a taste of the industry.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in national and regional competitions throughout the year to improve and develop skills. Competitions include Young Risotto Chef of the Year, ‘Wokstar’, The Heat Competition and more!
