If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy helping others, and rise to new challenges, a role in public and protective services could be your perfect fit.
The public sector is one of the UK’s largest employers, offering diverse opportunities across the police, fire service, armed forces, ambulance service, and civil service. Whether your ambition is to serve as a police officer, protect communities as a firefighter, or travel the globe with the Royal Air Force, we’ll equip you with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to succeed.
Hands-On Experience That Prepares You for the Real World
Throughout the course, students will put their skills into action through practical workshops and real-world scenarios beyond the classroom.
Past students have taken part in exciting challenges such as the Army Youth Challenge Course at Queen Elizabeth Barracks, where they honed their problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership abilities while gaining valuable insight into careers within the Army.
Another group experienced a large-scale emergency simulation, responding to a mock high-rise building fire. This immersive training gave students a realistic taste of frontline emergency response and the demands of working under pressure.
Students also develop physical resilience and outdoor skills through activities like rock climbing and abseiling, an excellent way to prepare for working in challenging environments while building trust, technique, and personal growth.
