This is the next step leading on from the Level 2 Food & Beverage qualification. Focussing on the finer details of hospitality, you will refine the skills learnt at Level 2 and learn to supervise and manage areas within the Waterside Brasserie. You will develop a more in depth knowledge of alcoholic beverages, legislation, barista, cocktail making, dealing and managing transactions along with supervising the day to day workings of our Waterside Brasserie.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and/ or five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above.

You will be assessed through observation (with appropriate witness testimony), short online testing and on-going assignments.

Univerisity Opportunities

Past students have progressed to study in degrees in hospitality management. You can also apply for a higher apprenticeship in hospitality management.

Career Opportunities

These include management, catering, the fast food industry, hotel management and event management.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into further education.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Catering and Hospitality students will have the opportunity to work in our award winning training restaurant, The Waterside Brasserie. The restaurant is open to the public across the week and all the food is prepared and served by our students in one of our five fully equipped industrial kitchens.
