Hair and Beauty Pathways explained

Hairdressing and Barbering

Hairdressing and barbering are all about cutting, styling, and looking after hair. Hairdressers usually work with all hair types and offer services like colouring, blow-drying, and styling, while barbers often focus on shorter hair and offer fades, beard trims, and shaves.

You’ll learn how to use tools like scissors and clippers, understand what clients want, and keep everything clean and professional. It’s a great career choice if you’re creative, enjoy working with people, and want a hands-on job that helps others feel confident.

Your course options:

Our students learn from the best and train to top industry standards using the latest techniques and treatments. We’ve got seven fully equipped, state-of-the-art salons, including a commercial spa suite, two modern hairdressing salons, and a professional barbershop.

The hairdressing salons are designed to feel just like a high-end commercial salon, and students get hands-on experience with premium products like Wella System Professional and the EIMI Styling Range. Over in the spa suite, there’s a jacuzzi pool, a light therapy sauna, steam room, monsoon shower, and even a dry flotation bed.

Here, students offer a wide range of treatments, from Dermalogica facials and waxing to manicures, pedicures, body massages, wraps, eyelash tinting, and loads more.
