Celebrating Level 3 Results Day 2026!
Olivia Cox achieved a Merit in her Building Services Engineering T Level at Middlesbrough College and secured a full-time role with her industry placement employer.
Olivia specialised in electrical installation, combining classroom learning with practical experience at a local fire station, where she installed fire and security systems.
The hands-on nature of the T Level was a major attraction for Olivia. She said: “I liked having a bit of paperwork and a bit of practical, hands-on work.”
Despite moving to York during her studies and commuting around 45 minutes to Middlesbrough, Olivia continued at the College and has now turned her industry placement into a career.
She was offered a full-time role in the fire service, working in fire and security engineering; an exciting next step after completing her T Level.
