We caught up with T Level Digital Production Design and Development student Harry Peers, who will be heading to the national qualifiers for the World Skills competition this year!
Harry is a first-year student and is completing a placement as part of his course with Greenlord Studios. He said: “I’m really enjoying my time at the College; I’ve learned so much already and have been able to develop my skillset. The support I’ve received from my teachers has been amazing.”
During the World Skills competition at the College students in the website design category had to design a website for a graphics design company and the competition was judged by two of our very own graphics and website team members from the marketing department at the College. Harry said “The competition is a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to the next round.
“I chose to come to Middlesbrough College because it is one of the only Colleges in the area that offer this course and the brand-new digital facilities are outstanding! The location of the College and the transport links are really great too. Since I’ve been here, I have been enjoying using the facilities in MC Digital, as well as studying my course. There’s a really great balance at the College and I’m loving the freedom that my timetable gives me.”
After his time at the College, Harry would like to progress onto University or full-time employment in a website development role.
