There will be no scheduled lessons on Wednesday 29th November for full-time 16-18 year old students due to a staff CPD day. A Level students will be in college as normal.
We caught up with A level student Alyx about studying Environmental Science at MC6!
Alyx said: “I enjoy studying environmental science mainly because it’s one of the most important modern-day subjects. I’m really interested in learning about climate change and conservation, these topics and the whole subject can be quite challenging, but we have different methods of learning in the class that keeps it fun and intriguing. I decided to study with MC6 as I’ve always had a passion for the environment. The Sixth Form is the only one in the region that offers the course, and I knew it would work well alongside studying geography and geology. I really enjoy the atmosphere here and it doesn’t feel like a traditional Sixth Form, we have a lot of independence!”
