Alex Bradford
We caught up with Alex who is an MC6 Student Leader!
Alex said: “I’m currently studying the Mix it up programme at Middlesbrough College Sixth Form and I love it! I’m a Student Leader too for the MC6. The Student Leaders link with the College’s Student Union to give students a voice in how the College is run. We come up with suggestions for activities and make real positive change for students during their studies. We are in the process of setting up Friday support sessions specifically for A Level students to help them with their revision for any upcoming exams. “Being a Student Leader is an important role as it offers other students the chance to voice any worries or concerns that they might feel uncomfortable saying to a member of staff or their tutor. I enjoy helping other people and I hope I can make a difference to students who are studying at the Sixth Form. “I really enjoy studying here and it is great that the College provides these opportunities for students. Middlesbrough College Sixth Form care about their students and their opinions, and they want us to share our ideas. It’s also a great addition for my University applications and CV!
“I’m hoping to progress to University to study Radiography. My ultimate career goal is to become a Radiographer in the army.”
