Aaron Burton’s long-term ambition is to work in statistics, and he’s now one step closer after securing a spot at the top-ranking Durham University to study Maths and Statistics. His degree place was confirmed after Aaron achieved A* in both Maths and Further Maths and A in Physics, following two years of study at Middlesbrough College.

“I’m so pleased with my results and can’t wait to get to Durham University and eventually launch a career in statistics,” Aaron says. “I’ve loved my time at the College. The support I’ve had from my tutors here has been great, they’ve always been really approachable, easy to talk to and happy to help.”

“They’ve given me the guidance I needed to succeed in my A Levels,” Aaron adds, “helping to build my confidence and fulfil my ambitions.”

“My advice to someone considering applying at Middlesbrough College is to definitely do it – the staff are really understanding, it’s a much more mature environment than school, and it’s the perfect place to take the next step.”
