You’ll take part in structured training sessions designed to improve gameplay, strategy, communication and teamwork – all supported by industry – standard gaming rigs that deliver a professional esports experience.
This is a fast-paced academy: you’ll compete in competitive national and international tournaments, facing off against top teams in titles including, Marvel Rivals, Rocket League, Apex Legends and Overwatch.

Facilities
Level up in our state of the art Esports Lab, packing with high-performance gaming PCs and Razer Keyboard, mice and headsets built for precision and speed. Experience ultra-smooth gameplay on high refresh rate monitors (up to 204Hz) and take the wheel with Moza DD racing wheels and GT Omega sim rigs. Plus, drive into console action on PlayStation 5, perfect for EA FC and Street Fighter battles.

We’ve just finished competing in a tournament against a college in France, which was a brilliant opportunity. With the help of translators, we got to engage in video calls in the lead up to it with the other team and talk about the tournament after.”

MC Hammers crowned National Champions!
Middlesbrough College is celebrating a major national success after its Esports team, MC Hammers, claimed victory in the British Esports Winter Cup – taking the top spot in Apex Legends after competing against nearly 40 teams from across the country.
The squad delivered a standout performance throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional teamwork, strategic thinking and composure under pressure. Their win places the College firmly on the national Esports map and highlights the growing quality and ambition of its Digital and Esports provision.
