Study options at MC6
A Levels are perfect if you want to study an academic subject at university.
At MC6, you can study up to four subjects over two years and your final grades will be assessed by exams. You also have the option to mix and match A Levels with A Level equivalent courses, preparing you for a variety of future opportunities!
A Levels
A Levels are two-year courses where you focus on three or four subjects you’re passionate about or that link to your future plans. They’re highly respected by universities and help build strong academic skills in areas from sciences and maths to humanities and creative subjects.
At MC6 you’ll study your A Levels in a dedicated sixth form centre designed to prepare you for life after college
A Level equivalent subjects
MC6 also offers the unique Mix It Up programme. This lets you mix traditional A Levels with A Level-equivalent courses, including courses like Applied Business, Applied Law, Applied Science, Health and Social Care, Human Biology and more!
Applied subjects are often more practical and hands-on and they still count towards your study programme just like an A Level.
You can choose a combination of subjects that suit you best:
- Three A Level subjects or three A Level Equivalent courses
- Two A Levels and one A Level equivalent
- One A Level and two A Level equivalent
- One T Level (Equivalent to three A Levels)
