We caught up with Saniya, a Level 3 Business student at Middlesbrough College!
“My decision to study a level 3 business course at Middlesbrough college was great. Studying business helped me develop my communication, confidence and teamwork skills. Topics I studied included marketing, recruitment, finance and more. This supported me to understand the variety of future career options and provided me with a better insight on how businesses operate.
One of my favourite topics was learning about Marketing. Creating marketing campaigns supported me to become more innovative and think outside the box.
As part of my course, I had work experience in the marketing team at Middlesbrough college.My experience included attending team meetings,shadowing different members of the team including social media managers and graphic designers, allowing me to research the different roles in marketing. The staff were very friendly and supportive making my experience enjoyable.
Overall, I recommend studying business as it isn’t only learning about how businesses function but also about developing functional skills that are beneficial for the future. After college, I aim to do a marketing apprenticeship as it would help me gain work experience whilst learning additional skills to prepare me for my future career.
