Mechanical Engineering for Non-Mechanical Engineers
Course overview
This course is aimed at engineers and technicians from a non mechanical background.
The course is designed to give practical and theoretical experience of fitting, inspection and examination of mechanical equipment used in the mechanical field for non-mechanical personnel.
The aim of this course is to give non-mechanical personnel an overview and understanding of the various components, construction and operation of mechanical systems, including safety considerations and statutory requirements.
At the end of the course delegates will have an understanding of:
- The function of various engineering components
- Alignments of rotating equipment (Pumps/Motors) Drives and bearings
- Valve appreciation
- Measuring instruments
- Setting-up of equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Successful delegates will receive a City & Guilds Certificate.
