Joinery Academy

Modules will include:

• Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment (RQF)
• Award in Personal Development for Employability (RQF)
• L1 Certificate in Building & Construction
• Manual Handling
• CSCS Card
• Asbestos Awareness and Working at Height

Various start dates available. Course sessions are Wednesday – Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm, for 3 weeks.

• Applicants must be aged 19+
• Must be a Tees Valley resident
• Must bring proof of benefit to enrolment session
• Applicants who have not lived in the UK or EU since birth must bring proof of residency, e.g. passport (3 years old) or residence permit.
• Must have achieve Entry Level 3 in English

Learners will receive an interview upon successful completion of the course with Tees Valley Trade Group or Midas Cladding.

Individuals must be aged 19 or over, unemployed or employed and earning under £33,210 per annum to receive full funding.

As the learners will not yet have the above qualifications, we cannot offer work experience at the employers’ premises.

There are practical training elements in a workshop onsite at Middlesbrough College, Midas cladding will be directly involved in the course delivery.
