Fine Art (A Level) – Level 3

The course will compromise two units of work:

• Personal Study
• Topics Set by Eduqas

This is a 2 year course studied September – June.

5 GCSEs at Grade 4/5 or above (not equivalents), including English language.

A good Grade in Art GCSE or suitable evidence of artistic talent (e.g. sketchbook or portfolio).?

As well as the entry requirements above you will also need to meet the specific requirements for the A Level courses you choose.

You will develop work for a personal investigation into an idea, issue, concept or theme supported by written material which will count for 60% of your total A Level mark.

In component 2 you will produce personal work which will count for 40% of your total A Level mark.

University opportunities:
Past students have progressed to study degrees in 2D & 3D animation, 3D design, applied arts, architecture, ceramics, digital media, fine art, games design, graphic communication, illustration, industrial design, interior design, games design, art history and art therapy.?

Career opportunities:

Career opportunities include artist, graphic design, product design, fashion design, photography, education, art therapy, curating, illustrating, architecture and housing design.?

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

Although not part of our full-time A Level study programme, students can work with our dedicated Work Experience Co-ordinator to secure a suitable placement, be that a one-off experience, or a more long-term placement.
