Course overview

Tourism is a global phenomenon that, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, will be the world’s largest industry in the 21st century.

This course is designed in partnership with employers and industry associations to give you a solid theoretical and practical understanding of travel and tourism management enabling you to progress to higher level studies or directly into industry.

You can be part of this future by studying as part of your course. Gain an appreciation of other cultures and be aware and sensitive to the positive and negative impacts of tourism on communities and local economic development. Look at the modern challenges faced by tourism organisations, focusing on current and contemporary trends and developments so you are equipped with the skills to solve problems and implement plans and solutions to resolve them. Develop an entrepreneurial approach by working alongside key industry employers to build innovative solutions to real-life business challenges. Gain an insight into moral, ethical, and environmental issues allowing you to make a valuable contribution to the tourism and travel sector.
