Biology (A Level) – Level 3
Course overview
Biology literally means ‘the study of life’. A Level Biology is a dynamic subject, taught in a lively, enjoyable and varied way. Our motto is “Variety is the Spice of Life Science!”
Throughout the course you will carry out a range of practical investigations that will give you the skills and confidence analyse and evaluate data from experiments. Examples include; microscopy and mitosis, heart dissection, Microbiology (effects of antibiotics on bacteria), studying animal behaviour, factors affecting enzyme activity, chromatography of photosynthetic pigment, Urine analysis and diabetes.
