Former Middlesbrough College student Tatiana Jevdokimova secured her dream job after completing four Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification exams.
Tatiana joined the MOS programme at Middlesbrough College after struggling to secure a new administrative role in the UK, despite having extensive experience working across Europe in the admin sector. Following a recommendation from one of her college tutors, she decided to pursue MOS certifications to strengthen her digital skills and improve her employability.
Recognising that proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a key requirement for many employers, Tatiana enrolled on the MOS programme and achieved certifications in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 365.
Students taking these courses are largely self-guided with support from a specialist tutor. Students have access to specialist online learning resources on the LearnKey platform which Tatiana found especially valuable, praising the all-in-one learning experience, practical lesson files, video tutorials, and interactive practice labs that helped reinforce her knowledge and prepare her for the final assessments.
Shortly after completing her certifications and adding them to her CV, Tatiana successfully secured a new role and during the interview process, the employer specifically highlighted her MOS qualifications and expressed how impressed they were by the internationally recognised certifications. Tatiana firmly believes the MOS programme played a major role in helping her stand out during her job search.
Now using the Microsoft Office skills she developed on the programme every week in her current role, Tatiana highly recommends the courses to others looking to improve their digital skills and career prospects. Her journey demonstrates the real impact industry-recognised certifications can have in supporting learners into employment and building confidence in the workplace.
