Thirteen dedicated A Level Law students have successfully completed an impressive virtual internship with Cleary in October.
The internship took place across the half term break, offering students the opportunity to work Monday to Friday in a fully virtual environment, supporting the literacy trust while gaining insight into the day-to-day work of a local solicitor.
This experience provided them with a valuable introduction to the legal profession, allowing them to explore real cases, understand how solicitors operate, and develop workplace skills.
The students spoke highly of the experience. Abigail Thorpe shared, “I thought it was really good; it was well structured, and people were ready to help at all times!”
Her feedback reflects the supportive and accessible nature of the programme, designed to replicate the realities of professional remote working.
Fellow student Hollie Brewis added, “It gave insight into how negotiation would work between two businesses,” highlighting the practical scenario-based learning that gave them a taste of real legal and commercial decision-making.
These programmes are widely recognised across the UK for helping young people build confidence, communication skills, and workplace awareness, ensuring that students from all backgrounds have access to opportunities that prepare them for future careers.
