Hartlepool teenager heads towards her Destiny
18 Aug 2023
18-year-old Destiny Brown decided to apply to Middlesbrough College after attending a university taster day, where she got to explore her passion for STEM subjects.
Now, having scored top grades in Biology, Psychology, Maths and Further Maths, the Hartlepool local has been offered a place at the prestigious Liverpool University to study Computer Science.
First of all, however, Destiny is taking a gap year to gain extra work experience before she begins her degree. “I’ve already secured a full-time job at banking giant Santander, and I’m eager to get more work experience in Computer Science over the next few months.”
“I’ve enjoyed my time at the College, and I’m so pleased with my results. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for me!”
