“My Access to Higher Education Diploma provided me with an important set of skills to prepare myself for starting University. I learnt how to write essays, research effectively, reference and critically write. I’m now studying for a degree in Criminology and I wouldn’t be where I am now without studying the Access to Higher Education Diploma at Middlesbrough College.
“I had not been in formal education for 20 years before starting the Access course at Middlesbrough College. This made starting the diploma quite daunting, however the support I received at the College was second to none and I was guided throughout the course. I also received help to pass my maths and English modules, which was fantastic.
“My advice to anyone considering studying for an Access course is to do it! It will change your life and provide new opportunities. You will also learn more about yourself, build your confidence and unlock your potential. The course is demanding, however the rewards and sense of pride you will get when you will get when you receive good marks in your modules is elating.
“I would 100% recommend studying at Middlesbrough College! The teaching staff have your best interests at heart and they will constantly go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. I really enjoyed attending my classes and looked forward to them on a weekly basis. I’ve also made genuine friends who I now attend University with.
“My career ambition is to work within the probation service and thanks to Middlesbrough College I’m one step closer to achieving this dream!”
