Celebrating Level 3 Results Day 2026!
Sarah, and her twin siblings Samantha and Stephen Gettings, are all heading to university after receiving their results.
Sarah studied for a BTEC in Applied Science and achieved Distinction, Merit, Merit.
“I started out studying for a T Level, but it wasn’t for me, so I switched to a BTEC in my second year. I’ve always loved science, so Applied Science was perfect. Now I’m going to the University of York, I can’t wait.”
Twins Samantha and Stephen also travel from Whitby every day to study at Middlesbrough College. They both love criminology, which they study at A Level. Samantha also studies Photography, and Steven studies Law and History.
Samantha said: “I like the scientific side of criminology and I’m going to study for a Criminology degree at Teesside University. I hope one day to work in the police service.”
Stephen continued: “I’ve always been interested in crime – I watch lots of crime documentaries, and this sparked my curiosity. I’m now going to study an Advanced Degree in Criminology and Forensic Science at Northumbria University. When we first came to look around Middlesbrough College, the open events gave us loads of insights into what it would be like to study here. It’s given me the stepping stone to go on to my degree.”
