Lilia Long

Meet Level 3 Business Studies student and student award winner, Lilia Long!

We sat down with Lilia and asked her about what it’s like studying her course at Middlesbrough College.

Lilia told us: “I decided to come to Middlesbrough College because I wanted that change of scenery from school and to gain some more independence. This College is the perfect steppingstone to that because you have a smooth transition into it, but also the chance to learn how to manage your time on your own.”

“I enjoy studying here for lots of reasons but mainly because of the amount of support we receive. My tutors and other staff are always there for anything I might need guidance on, as well as making sure we have all the right resources needed for assignments.”

“The campus itself also has everything! Food, activities, and facilities are all a short walk away which just makes doing what you want to do a lot easier. The facilities such as the LRC also provide a good environment for workspace and studying which has helped with my college work!”

Lilia has made many achievements in College and developed her skills, including being awarded Business Student of the Year and project planning with employers which she received amazing feedback for her confidence and communication skills!

Lilia is transitioning into her second year of College next term and we can’t wait to see her progression!
