Liam Kellett
Liam Kellet is currently a Level 1 Catering and Hospitality student at Middlesbrough College but is progressing onto a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship at Ellerby Country Inn in June.
Liam said, “I’ve loved my time at the College, the lessons are brilliant, and I can’t fault the staff! I have also received amazing support for my additional learning needs. The ALS team have helped me gain the skills I have needed to progress.
“When I first came to the College, I already knew lots of people from my school, which made it so easy to settle in! I live in Brotton, which isn’t very close to Middlesbrough, but the transport into the College makes it so easy to get in everyday!
“I’m looking forward to starting my apprenticeship soon as I’m much more of a hands-on learner, so I think I will really benefit through learning and completing a qualification through an apprenticeship. Hopefully, I can progress onto full time employment afterwards.
“My favourite part about studying Catering and Hospitality at Middlesbrough College is taking part in lots of competitions. I love competing and I even won a NECTA competition for my quiche!”
Liam has also been nominated for the Most Developed Professional Cookery Student Award in this year’s Student Awards!
