Former Outwood Bydales student Harry is celebrating after successfully gaining a place on the highly competitive Anglo American degree apprenticeship!  

A Level student Harry is set to study for a degree in Computing which will be sponsored by the top company in October.  

Harry said: “Coming to study Middlesbrough College Sixth Form has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. The support here is amazing and the whole experience has been fantastic, plus I’ve made a whole group of new friends too! 

“I was unsure what I wanted to do after completing my A Levels, but the team at Middlesbrough College have supported and guided me to find a path that is perfect for me. I’m delighted that I’ve secured a place on Anglo American’s competitive degree apprenticeship! Anglo American are one of the top companies for mining and I can’t believe that I’ll be joining them soon as a paid employee! My degree is funded through them too, so I’ll be being paid to study- it’s an incredible opportunity.
