“I decided to study my degree at Middlesbrough College because it enabled me to continue working alongside my studies. My lecturers were supportive and flexible, delivering a good mixture of face to face and online/recorded sessions. There were regular and frequent opportunities for tutorials where good developmental feedback was available.
“The facilities at Middlesbrough College are of a really nice standard and the campus itself has a great atmosphere. The Outdoor Education department is well equipped, and you have access to other facilities such as the on-site gym.
“All college staff work hard to ensure students feel welcome, safe and supported. I always felt like there was someone there who I could talk to, and it was a nice environment all around.
“Since finishing my degree I have secured a new role as the Head of Outdoor Education and DofE Award for a private school. I’m really enjoying this role and looking forward to seeing where it takes me. I hope to undertake my PGCE teaching qualification to further my career in the Outdoor Sector, something that previously wouldn’t have been possible without gaining my degree.”
