This is an A Level Mix it up programme. You will study this course alongside A Levels.

This course covers a wide range of business topics. It has been developed to meet the changing needs of the sector and prepare students for the challenges they will face in higher education or employment. The course focuses on the skills, knowledge and understanding that today’s universities and employers demand.

Entry requirements

You should have achieved at least five 9-5 grades at GCSE (not equivalents), including English language and maths. An average GCSE point score of 5.5 recommended (only GCSE grades for this score, not equivalents).

Assessment is continuous throughout the qualification and is a mixture of external examinations and internally assessed assignments.

University Opportunities:
Many past students have gone on to study Business full time at University.  These have ranged from courses at The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, The University of Manchester and Teesside University.  The nature of the course shows universities that students can complete detailed examinations and larger pieces of extended writing.

Career Opportunities:
Career Opportunities are vast when studying a Business course as the skills obtained are applicable in so many areas.  These include Marketing, Human Resources, and Accountancy

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

After receiving your application form you will be invited to attend an informal interview where you will have a chance to discuss which specific A Level subjects you would like to enrol on.
