Overview

This course offers an academic approach to the study of religion, ethics and philosophy. It will encourage you to adopt an enquiring, critical and reflective approach to the study of morality within religious and secular systems of belief. You will learn about various religious and philosophical concepts and will have the opportunity to discuss life issues within a modern context sharing their own unique experiences and ideas.

Entry requirements

You should have achieved at least five 9-5 grades at GCSE (not equivalents), including English language and maths. An average GCSE point score of 5.5 recommended (only GCSE grades for this score, not equivalents).

The A Level consists of three exams at the end of your second year.

University Opportunities: Past students have progressed to study degrees in religious studies, theology, philosophy, law, sociology, education and social sciences.
Career Opportunities: Career opportunities include teaching, journalism, law, charity sector work, counselling, the civil service and youth work.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
