Sporting a coat of paint at the Teesside Hospice Colour Run

17 September 2018
What better way to spend a sunny Sunday in Middlesbrough than at the Colour Run for Teesside Hospice at Stewart Park, right?

The event was open to people of all abilities, to walk, run or dance the 5K stretch with their loved ones, with 80 volunteers from a number of companies (along with Middlesbrough College!), including Darlington Building Society and Everyone Active, showering those with colour powder (as well as themselves!), as they ran past.

Kicking off at 10.30am, a whopping 1100 participants got themselves into the zone thanks to a warm-up session of clubercise, shortly before main kick off at 11.00.

Windy weather was also present on the morning, however it wasn’t enough to put off the determined runners, with them remaining in fantastic spirits throughout.

It was messy, fast-paced and most importantly, an incredibly fun day spent raising money for a fantastic cause.

The event had a fantastic buzz and a huge thank you to the Teesside Hospice staff and volunteers – we look forward to hopefully seeing them again next year!
