Lisa was appointed to the Governing Body in March 2026.
Lisa spent 30 years in local government working across a wide range of services and roles. She has worked at Middlesbrough council and in later years was based as the Strategic accountant working on exciting projects such as Mima, the initialisation of Boho, large housing projects such as new deal for communities, Town centre projects post 2014 and as a key link on Tees Valley Regeneration. Lisa then moved in 2014 into Education working at a large multi academy Trust before moving to Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College as Vice Principal where she became a key leader in the formation of Northern Arch Learning Partnership and then the COO.
Lisa is a qualified ACMA accountant and also a qualified Teacher in the Post 14 sector and taught AAT and Cima.
Newly retired, Lisa is very much looking forward to increasing her knowledge in the FE sector and working alongside such talented staff and governors to support post 16 students in the wider Tees Valley area, be it in vocational or academic pathways. She is excited to see things from the governor perspective giving her the opportunity to be on the pulse of the changing careers path and to see the requirements of employers.
