Courtney Dixon

Lecture Chef, Teaching & Learning Mentor

I am a highly experienced hospitality professional with 14 years of industry experience within the catering and hospitality sector, primarily working as a chef in a range of professional kitchen environments. My practical expertise is underpinned by strong academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree awarded at 2:1 level and a Master of Arts degree in Hospitality Management.

In addition to my industry and academic qualifications, I have achieved Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, demonstrating my commitment to excellence in education and professional practice. I remain actively engaged in continuous professional development, regularly updating my academic and industry knowledge through the review of current research, scholarly publications, and engagement with academic and professional networks.

My combination of extensive industry experience, advanced academic qualifications, and commitment to lifelong learning enables me to bring both practical insight and evidence-based knowledge to professional and educational settings.
