Not content with scoring top grades during her time at Middlesbrough College, Nicole Olagesin is also a gold medallist after an outstanding performance at this year’s Biology Olympiad.
Nicole said: “I’ve always wanted to be a doctor, so biology has been a real passion of mine during my time at the College.”
The 18-year-old is set to study medicine after achieving an A in biology, maths, chemistry and physics.
She said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the College and can’t speak highly enough of the teachers and my fellow students. Even when lockdown came into effect earlier in the year, the College was quick to make sure that we each had the support we needed to study at home.
“Our teachers stayed in constant contact with us online, and were always available if we had any questions or needed anything. That support means that I’m now about to start my longed-for career in medicine.”
