“I am absolutely loving studying for my FdSc in Computing at Middlesbrough College after completing my Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Proficiency for IT Professionals at James Cook Hospital through Northern Skills Group.

I am very fortunate that my employer, James Cook Hospital, is funding my university studies for me so I am learning and earning at the same time.

I would wholeheartedly recommend studying at Middlesbrough College. The tutors are incredibly supportive and the teaching is exceptional.

I dropped out of Newcastle University as I found a traditional University wasn’t right for me, but at Middlesbrough College you are given 1:1 support and guidance. I feel so well supported here and my course is teaching my skills that I will need to succeed in the work place. I definitely feel like I have an employment edge as the course is employer focussed.

My advice to any young person would be to consider studying at Middlesbrough College and to also consider studying a Computing or Digital based qualification. Every single job is becoming more IT based and dependant and is applicable to so many roles. There are so many opportunities available to IT & Computing graduates and I feel excited about the future!”
