Now I have my GCSE results, what next?
Congratulations! You have received your GCSE results; we hope your day was full of all the celebrations you deserve!
Now it’s time for the exciting part… starting to act on what your next steps are going to be for this coming September with Middlesbrough College!
If you have already applied to Middlesbrough College before getting your results, you will receive a letter and an email containing details on how to enrol for the course you have applied for. If any support is needed or you do not have access to view the email come down to one of our enrolment sessions (dates and times below) at the College and we can help enrol you in person.
If you have not applied yet there is still time to make an application! We still have places available on a wide range of courses. If you know which course you would like to study, you can apply online via our course search page. Our helpful team are also on hand to offer advice and guidance – email courseinformation@mbro.ac.uk or call 01642 333333. Alternatively, you can use our Live Chat facilities by clicking ‘Chat with us now’ in the bottom right-hand side of this page.
You can also come along to one of our onsite enrolment dates to submit a course application.
No matter how your results have turned out, at Middlesbrough College we are confident that everyone who joins us will find something that fits into their career ambitions and skillsets with a broad range of courses available in A level, T levels, Vocational courses, and Apprenticeships!

If you did not get the grades that you were quite hoping for, and don’t meet the entry requirements for your desired course, don’t panic! There are different options for different course types. At enrolment you’ll be offered an alternative level of the course you have chosen previously within the department if one is available by the admissions team.
With A Levels, some students may be able to proceed with their course, however, this will depend on your grades. We want the best for you and want you to do well. If A Levels are
not a suitable option for you, our supportive team will help you to find an alternative pathway. Our Careers Team will also be on hand to talk through your options.
If you have not gained your GCSE maths and/or English, you will directed to an appropriate level course where you will be supported and have maths/English classes added to your timetable.
So, if you don’t get what you were hoping for, please don’t worry. We will support you and find the perfect course that will help you achieve your career ambitions.
