Vocational Steps to Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy – Entry Level 3

The first 10 weeks of the programme students will develop confidence, practical skills and an understanding of the hair and beauty industry.

September – June

There are no formal qualifications required, however you are expected to express an interest and enthusiasm for the hair and beauty industry.

You will be continuously assessed using a variety of different methods.

You can progress onto a Level 1 Hair and Beauty course.

You are required to purchase a uniform and a kit. You can purchase your kit here.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

All full time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year.

This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job or progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
