Course overview
This course is designed for students who wish to work in the health and fitness industry. It will give you the qualification to work as a fitness instructor and access the bolt on courses included in this qualification, such as studio cycling, circuits and suspended movement training.
You will cover the principles of anatomy, physiology, and fitness, professionalism and customer care for fitness instructors. Health and safety in the fitness environment, conducting client consultations to support positive behaviour change and panning and instructing gym-based exercise.
The course is assessed through an exam, a workbook, written assignments, a session plan, three observations anda written evaluation. Learners will also complete a range of bolt on courses to top up the certificate which include Level 2 in Studio Cycling, Level 2 in Instructing Circuits and Level 2 in Suspended Movement.
