The course considers a broad range of relevant disciplines, preparing you for future employment in the sectors. You will build a strong understanding of the physiological theory of sport and fitness, as well as physical activity in the local community, media, business and marketing, and various other topics. You will also develop your analytical and research techniques, which will support your practical skills and experience. You will explore sports coaching and leadership theories and apply this to practice. The course will also give the opportunity to reflect on your new skills and knowledge, bridging theory to practice. The programme also embeds the essential knowledge and expertise required to complete sports coaching and fitness qualifications, namely Level 1 and 2 Sports Coaching and Level 1 andLevel 2 Fitness Instruction qualifications.
