You must have achieved four GCSEs grades 1-3. You will be required to complete a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

This is all assessed through assignments.

You can progress on to the Level 2 Health and Social Care or Early Years Education and Care. This course will also allow you to progress into entry level employment or an apprenticeship in the care sectors.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job, progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
