Course overview

This course will develop your culinary techniques with a variety of ingredients and teach you the basic skills to produce food in a professional environment along with customer interaction as a base for working in the Hospitality Industry.

You will learn how to prepare and cook food using a range of cooking methods, serving customers and developing communication, team building and customer service skills. You will also improve your knowledge of healthy eating, food hygiene and safety.

Catering and Hospitality students will have the opportunity to work in our award winning training restaurant, The Waterside Brasserie. The restaurant is open to the public across the week and all the food is prepared and served by our students in one of our five fully equipped industrial kitchens.
