Advanced Technical Diploma in Plumbing – Level 3

• Health and Safety in Building Services Engineering
• Understand the Fundamental Principles and Requirements of Environmental Technology Systems
• Plumbing System Installation Planning
• Complex Cold Water
• Complex Domestic Hot Water Systems
• Complex Sanitation and Drainage Systems
• Complex Central Heating Systems
• Domestic Gas Principles
• Career Awareness in Building Services Engineering

As part of your study programme additional short courses will be included that enhances your skills, knowledge and employability prospects.

All students will either gain or enhance their existing English and maths qualifications.

September – June

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 plumbing vocational qualification.

You will be assessed through various methods including exams, practical assessments and tests.

You can progress onto further study with the HNC in Building Studies or NVQ Level 2 or 3 if employment is gained with a plumbing company.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

Within this programme learners are expected to complete 30 hours placement within the year and will be supported by the placement team to give them the experience they need to be work ready. Following a holistic approach, this work experience will feed directly into the units that are taught and can utilise what they have learnt into their summative assessments and social action projects.
