Course overview
This qualification is the starting point to progress onto further courses.
This course prepares you for a career in fitness instruction by covering five essential areas. You’ll learn the fundamentals of anatomy, physiology, and fitness, along with professional and customer care skills. The course also dives into health and safety in the gym environment, as well as how to conduct consultations to motivate clients and design effective exercise programs.
With this qualification, you can become a Gym Instructor, create programmes and basic plans. You can also progress onto other bolt-on courses such as Personal Training, Kettle Bells and Spinning.

Sports students will learn theoretical based study in the classroom, whilst taking part in a range of sport and fitness activities. Taught by specialist tutors and coaches, many of which are ex professionals in their field, you’ll benefit from fantastic facilities including an AstroTurf pitch, a strength and conditioning suite and a physiology lab.
