“I really enjoyed my time studying at Middlesbrough College, the course was informative, and the content really helped me decide what career path to go down.
“I chose Middlesbrough College for a huge list of reasons, far too many to name all of them! Some that stand out would be the course content, the facilities within the College and the travel perks. The facilities were the best I had seen, our classroom was set up to look like sports injury clinic and we had all the correct equipment to practice on. Outside of the classroom I had an interest in gymnastics and once I found out there was a gymnastics academy I joined straight away! This was great fun, and I had the chance to compete all over the country representing the College alongside my studies.
“Because the course had prepared me so well, by the time I went to University I felt well one step ahead which was a great feeling! Even little things like knowing how to reference gave me a huge confident boost and I’ve got my fantastic College teachers to thank for that.
“The support I received at Middlesbrough College was exceptional! Since school I had characteristics of dyslexia but I had never been tested, it wasn’t until I started College that I was tested and diagnosed with dyslexia. My tutors were great throughout the whole process from getting me tested to supporting me with it and getting me additional support when I needed it.
“Since leaving College I have completed a degree in Sport Rehabilitation at The University of Nottingham where I achieved a 1st class degree, and I am now working as a Sports Therapist at DML Sports Therapy at Redcar Gymnastics Club. I have completed a few courses since finishing my degree to develop myself as a Sports Therapist, I’m excited to keep going at it and improving myself.”
