“I’m loving every minute of studying my childcare course at Middlesbrough College! My tutors are very supportive and really care about the students here. I’m in my third year studying childcare and I’ve completed the Level 2 and Level 3 Certificate in childcare.
“I’ve enjoyed the whole experience, and my skillset and confidence has grown during my studies! I would 100% recommend studying a childcare course at Middlesbrough College. Working in childcare is a very rewarding sector and I enjoy seeing children develop their skills and grow in confidence and know that I had a role to play in supporting them.
“I’ve also had the chance to take part in three work placement opportunities whilst studying at the College, so I’ve gained experiencing working with a variety of different age groups and in different childcare-based settings including nurseries and schools.
“The College has great links with local employers and the experiences I’ve had have allowed me to gain new skills and explore my future options. My work placements have also been a great addition for my CV as I’ve had hands-on, practical experience in the sector I want to pursue my career in. I know that these placements will help me to stand out from the crowd when I apply for future job roles and University.
“The course at Middlesbrough College is brilliant as you can tailor the modules and assignments to suit your future aspirations. My ultimate career ambition is to become an English teacher, teaching Primary School aged children abroad. I would love to work in Japan in the future! So, I’ve been adapting my assignments and activities to reflect this and focusing on English and storytelling-based activities for children.
“The course has opened doors for my future and I’m excited to apply to University! My tutors are supporting me with my University application, and there are lots of services available if I need any help or advice with my future options.”
